Blending Cultures and Same Sex Marriage

Monday, November 24, 2014

This is absolutely AMAZING..
(not my picture)

Some may think that this is not right, but in my personal & professional opinion
 I believe in True Love.

It is truly special  to see that two cultures and same sex can unite and be celebrated.    I just believe in Love and no matter what sexual orientation you are that should not affect the true celebration and planning of your day.

As shown in this photograph, this is what its all about, Love, Happiness, pure JOY.

We at Annie Muniz & Associate Event & Wedding Planners, Inc.

will always welcome the celebration of Same Gender Marriages and would love to help you plan your amazing day.

Engaged to a Soilder or Officer of the Military here are a few things to think of Brides

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Brides you are now engaged to a Military Officer or Solider and you have an idea of what you would love to see on your amazing day.

As a mother to a US Air Force Airmen, who is planing to propose, I keep thinking of my future daughter in law and all the ideas that she has shared with me and what she would love to see.

1.  Have that groom wear his formals,  you do love to see your man in uniform and what better than that day to wear his most honorable uniform, formal blues.

2. While planing on everything that needs to take place, keep him in mind, let your wedding reflect him in some sort of way.

3. Take time to tell your planner all the details you would love to see.  We pay close attention to details.

4.Keep it Elegant and Classy, simple and clean, Let the Uniform, your Gown  and details tell your story.

Happy Planning.

When Styling and Creating your Look for your Wedding

Friday, November 7, 2014

Hello Brides when creating your Make Up look for your special day, you must keep in mind a few things.

#1. High Definition makeup is a must, the look your artist will give you to enhance your already glow should be seen in every picture.  So always ask the question.  Do you use professional high definition makeup?

#2. Using Airbrush makeup for that day is really special to, but keep in mind that you will perspire and while doing so it might cause some running, so Airbrushing should be finished like any applications it should be sealed properly at the end.

#3.  Makeup should always compliment your gown, time of your event, and of course place of your event like an outdoor or beach wedding .  I always recommend a soft and elegant look for the ceremony. For the reception change it up a bit.  If your artist has left before you enter your reception here are some tips you can do to give it an evening glow.

* Add a darker tone to your lips with a bit of a gloss
* Add to the outer corners of your eyelid/eye shadow a darker tone, that will give it a bit of a smokey sexy look.
* Add a darker eyeliner inside the eye and add to your already exciting eyeliner wing, try to expand it a litter more.
* Add a little more blush and please add above your cheek bone some highlighter. It will give you an amazing glow indoors.

Your Wedding Planner is there to assist you in that area as well, lots of us are also Certified Make Up Artist or even Stylist.  I am and I have had to assist in this area as well.  Hope this helps.

When Planning a Bachelorette Party Brides. Think about this ......

Happy Bachelorette Night Bride

I know its your last night as a Single "Lady",  Keep this in mind when your girlfriends are planning your Bachelorette Party.  You have every right to enjoy a quite simply evening  with your besties, or an out of this world crazy party, but keep it classy.

Pictures of that night might just cause some kind of caos, so if things get a bit out of hand don't have that night be the night that your images hit social media. Ask a girlfriend to help you make sure that doesn't  happen.  Your are entitled to a few extra cocktails but remember that can make girls do silly and crazy things.

Strippers and exotic dancers are really not necessary, Its really a matter of taste. It could be fun for some or horrifying for others. Keep your guest in mind and how they would react to that.  They can be the ones posting those compromising pictures. Plan wisely and classy.

If you want to do something sexy and in keeping the traditional last night of "single life", change it up a bit.  Dress up sexy and take in a Burlesques Show or take in a Burlesques Dance class with your girls.  You can  also have  A Sexy  Boudoir Photo Session with your girlfriends, that's always fun.  I know a great photographer that has amazing props and can give you a great deal for the night. (Central & South Florida)

I like to see girls get together and have spa days or nights, sleepovers or even a Traditional Southern Tea Party, (you really do not have to serve tea), or even a Girly Sexy Theme Party's.  Dinner out with the girls or catch a girl flick is less crazy and more relaxing, some girls just rather have the Bride relax and enjoy a quite weekend before the big day.

The bridesmaid in charge of this special Bachelorette's  evening or weekend  has the task of being creative and classy. So enjoy the planning, and if you have an Event Planner or Coordinator, talk to her and see what she can help plan for you that evening.  We are quite creative and have seen amazing things done for Bachelorette Nights.

Happy Planning

Who do you invite? " Why do you have to invite her"? "Really I cant stand them"

Monday, November 3, 2014

My Beautiful Brides, you can invite who ever your heart desires  Remembering always that it is your day and you really do not want to see parents hurt by your decision, so think carefully who is on the Guest List..

No one should have an input on your guest list other than your husband to be.  I know that it is very helpful for your mom and future mother in law to help you create and even remember a relative that you would like to see.

I always tell my Brides, if you haven't seen them or have been in holidays or family functions in a year; you do not have to invite.  Sorry, but they aren't that special if you cant remember that cousins, god-sister or god-brother, Uncle's name.  In fact if you  haven't seen each other in years, they really do not have to be invited to attend such a joyful occasion. Unless they are important TO YOU! etc.....

People who should be invited are those who really are special to you, who have impacted your life in a truly special way.  That person that is with you through the good bad and ugly. The people or person that really doesn't judge you when you have made a silly and dumb mistake through your life.

Those are the people that should share in your "Special Day". You should not have to feel obligated to invite everyone.

Sorry, to those uncles. aunts, cousins, friends, godparents, mailman, store clerk or BOSS, etc....

The last thing you want to do is fight with your husband to be before you wedding on who to invite.

To all Brides and Photographers "How can I ask my Guest not to photograph my Wedding"

Thursday, October 30, 2014

UNPLUGGED:
no cell phone pictures or electronic devices on  during a ceremony or reception

It can be so unfortunate and sad when your photographer is  capturing that special moment and here comes a photo-bomb. Your guest, friend or family caught right at that moment with their cell phone or camera on hand.  Now your Hired Professional Photographer is left with the difficult task of editing that picture and it just loses the captured moment. Sad! Frustrating! & Annoying!

Bride:  How can I ask my guest without offending them we do not want them taking pictures ?
n me
Sometimes your guest need a sweet and kind reminder, and just asking them over the phone or email isn't enough so here are some really nice ideas to have a "unplugged" Wedding.

It is truly a difficult thing to do with certain cultures, but at the end of the day you have given certain special  people in your life the honor of  inviting them to your Special Day.

I attended a wedding myself that was semi-unplugged.
What does that mean? Well no pictures where taken at the Ceremony, just the photographers. The bride and groom created an Instagram account just for their wedding,  where there guest where able to take pictures of other guests having a great time and photographing themselves (Selfies & Usies)  having the time of their life at their Wedding.  No pictures of the Bride and Groom where taken, that was specified as well.  The Couple asked that they #Hashtag just pictures of the guest.
I thought that was really sweet.

Some of you brides do not want your guest to share these moment with social media and you have every right to request that as well, but you just do not know how to tell your guests.
 I have attached some ideas.

I hope this helps.
